Sanderson doing OK!

After suffering a severe neck injury in a test match vs South Africa he was effectively ruled out of selection for the final England World Cup squad. However far from moping about he has been busier than ever. Having photographed his wedding in 2004 OK! were very keen to catch up with Pat 3 years on when tls approached the magazine on his behalf. Things have changed dramatically in the intervening years including the winning of 10 more England caps (2 as captain), becoming captain of his club Worcester Warriors, starting a family and securing a number of lucrative endorsements with companies such as KooGa, Ultimate Sports Nutrition (USN) and For Goodness Shakes. With a long term contract also secured with the Warriors and some continued good performances he seems sure to be challenging for England honours again soon.
USN in rugby endorsement deal

Tls has worked with Ultimate Sport Nutrition (USN) to broker a deal with Worcester Warriors captain and England flanker Pat Sanderson. He is the rugby union "face" of the brand in consumer and trade magazine adverts and on life sized cut outs appearing in leading stockists. He has those rare but all important qualities of transcending the rugby field to be revered by both rugby consumers and non rugby followers alike. Ultimate Sports Nutrition (USN) originated in South Africa and after only a few years presence in the UK it has become one of a select number of sports nutrition brands to make an impact in a very competitive market. It has successfully focused on some less "traditional" sports such as Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and duathlon.

For Goodness Shakes - Go Organic!

Burly England rugby players are not automatically associated with organic products, especially when it is a milkshake. However off-field entrepreneur Pat Sanderson is not your typical rugby star and is delighted to be associated with a high energy drink in a recent deal brokered by tls. Manufacturers "For Goodness Shakes" are happy to be quoted on the bold statement that it contains "as much fibre as a bowl of porridge". It has been on sale in Tesco, Waitrose and other leading supermarkets, newsagents and garage forecourts since December and is flying off the shelves.
Tls activities bring money in to clubs and charities
A major objective of tls is to develop a thriving sports business and along the way to create business development opportunities for clubs and brands. Clubs which have already benefitted from tls events include NEC Harlequins and Harlequins RL – the Jason Leonard Lounge at the Twickenham Stoop was the venue for a Chivas "Discover Poker” event. That event also led to Bedford Blues receiving a referral to Vitafoam which has now become a Gold Partner of the club. Coventry RFC has benefitted from a deal brokered by tls with new sponsor Gerrard Stuart. GS will assist with the cost of a tls playing client, whilst also increasing profile through sponsorship of the club.
Knockout event at Hull Arena

On February 2nd top professional rugby league players and ex Bradford Bulls team mates, Stuart Fielden (now Wigan) and Lee Radford (now Hull) boxed one another for the Steve Prescott fund. The ex St Helens and Hull player was recently diagnosed with a serious form of stomach cancer and the fund was set up to raise money for him and his family. Tri line sports supported the event via a table of guests which included two Hull KR stars Jon Steel and Andreas Bauer, professional speedway rider Andre Compton and businessmen from Park Row Associates, AKN and DNS(UK). A fantastic evening was had by all who attended and it raised over £50,000 for the Steve Prescott fund.
